• I am an artist from Russia, half American, half Russian, located in the UK. I began my artistic career with paintings, especially portraits. However, for the past two years I have mostly created installations and performance pieces in an attempt to discover the secrets that lie behind the brain, currently viewing the contradictory theories and ideas behind consciousness, mind and memory. Techniques that I currently research are contrast of darkness and light, as well as sound and video. These techniques become sensory stimuli, that have a powerful influence on audiences’ perception.
